Farm Dinners

Dates are subject to change; please confirm when reservations are made.

Sample Menu

In our monthly farm dinners we apply traditional cooking techniques to the best locally grown beyond-organic ingredients we can find. Our own farm supplies most of the produce; other local growers fill in the gaps when possible. Each meal consists of three courses. We buy meat only from nearby farmers who don’t use hormones or antibiotics and treat their animals humanely. We’ve used chicken from Hubert’s Heritage Farm in Boone, beef and lamb from Hickory Nut Gap Farm near Asheville, and pork from Redgate Farms, a network of small family hog farmers in the Piedmont region of North Carolina.

Farm Dinners often open with live music by local performers, including the unforgettable Forget-Me-Nots, and Jay Brown. Our Farm Dinners are an opportunity to visit the farm and enjoy a carefully prepared menu while participating in a unique field-to-table experience.

Kids are welcome, although parents are responsible for full supervision.

Please call for information about our farmdinner work-exchange.

Gift Certificates for this season's Farm Dinners are currently on sale and make wonderful gifts.

Call (828) 963-4656 or send an e-mail to info@maverickfarms.com for more information.
